I learned the long way that life is not meant to be consistently unhappy, unsure, or unfulfilled. Life is also too important to take too seriously. I use an integrated person-centered approach to work with you. I have learned we each own our best solutions for our life. My role for you is to be a secure guide while you work through difficult thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Essentially, I help facilitate the development of your process to let go or solve what is causing you grief.

I use an array of communication skills to provide the tools for sustained change. You can expect to experience being seen and heard. The counselling session is tailored by you. You pick the way you believe you will do best.
GUIDANCE & EMPOWERMENT
Life changes and we can take control of how we respond to most situations. In 1:1 counselling you'll be able to safely exhaust what you've been carrying or stuck with. We will work with the methods you think will be most helpful to restore your balance.
Solution-focused therapy - Is effective for fast coping skills. This process builds on your previous experiences, solutions and strengths.
Mindfulness / Breathing - Effective stress reduction and can increase self-awareness.
Person-centered / CBT / DBT - Is more prolonged with many tools from dialogue, mindfulness to worksheets and even experiments. Trauma reactions, PTSD, depression, anxiety, conflict, intrusive thoughts, feelings and invasive thinking can be reduced.

Healthy relationships are vital to a more fulfilled and happier life. No matter the lifestyle or length of time together, people can change and situations change. My role is to help improve communication in the relationship. Adjusting to a new dynamic can be overwhelming. Communicating what you need and want and having it heard is important. This may involve some 1:1 sessions to develop the tools that will work for the relationship.

EMPOWERMENT COMPASSION CONNECTION
Group therapy or support groups are incredibly powerful. Learning to be vulnerable and be accepted is empowering and rewarding. Groups range from 5-8 people and last 1:30-2:00 hr.
